As Venezuela continues to recover from the devastating earthquakes in Caracas, La Guaira and neighboring regions, the Players Trust contributed $100,000, which will be shared between the Global Empowerment Mission and the Wayuu Taya Foundation to support disaster relief and recovery efforts.

Individual major league players have also stepped up in support of Venezuela. San Diego’s Fernando Tatis Jr. donated $100,000 to earthquake relief and encouraged all MLB teams, players and fans to do whatever they can to help. Philadelphia’s Jesus Luzardo and Minnesota’s Pablo Lopez, both Players Trust Ambassadors, have also directed support to the Global Empowerment Mission.
